Studies show that 13-39% of all dental injuries are accounted for sports, out of which 11-18% are maxillofacial injuries. This editorial broadly discusses the interconnection between sports and dentistry. It highlights the importance of Parents', children's, sportspersons', and even dental practitioners' education on this topic of sports dentistry.
